Administration screens

Media Tenor main core business, CODING, involve many administrative tasks, for instance, human resources management, keeping contracts with media providers, delivery of printed media, registration of the media that arrives to the different offices, etc, etc. At the moment there is not a centralized database to keep all the information generated for this administrative tasks in one place, and many of this information has direct links with the coding process. The new Media Tenor system would need to automate as much as possible these processes.

Bellow there is a series of FORMS that should help as a guide to the developers for what Media Tenor needs to achieve

Offices General information about the Media Tenor offices or branches.
Users List of users for the new Media tenor system, including coders, researchers, and system administrators
User details This screen will show in details the information about the user.
User roles This screen will allow the administrator to create the different user roles (job levels) on the system.
Days off

This screen is for the administrator to create a list of the different "reasons" that will justify when users take days off. It will be an important part on the new system since registering when a "coder" is not available will allow the system to distribute the mark up and coding jobs accordingly to the people present in each office.

For instance, if any given day a "coder" is not able to come to the office because of sickness, the administrator could register a new day off directly in the user details and and everything assigned to this coder could be re-assigned to other coders in the system. Even in different countries, if they have the capacity to code the same industries or clients.

Countries List of countries to relate with offices, media, suppliers and users
Languages List of languages related to users and media. The system needs to know what languages a coder can work in and what is the language of each media registered on the system
Language levels This list should help to assign media to be coded automatically to users base on his(her) knowledge of the language.
Shipping methods This list will contain the shipping methods used by the media providers to deliver the different media to Media Tenor offices.
Coding profiles At the moment these coding profiles are used by Media Tenor to describe the level and type of coding executed on the media they code. The names may change, but the need to have a list of the types of coding will still be needed. Users will be related to this coding profiles and this way the system will know who to assign automatically the coding jobs to each coder.
Coding skill levels These are the skills levels related directly to the "coding profiles" and this will tell the system how god is a coder on each coding profile. This way the system or the administrator of the office would know immediately who is able to code what according to his (her) capacity.
Media formats These media formats are related to the Media and will be used to identify for instance if the media is Printed or ePaper (electronic), video, podcast, etc.
Media Types Media types will used to classify the media by main channel, for instance: printed, online, TV, web, radio, agencies, etc.
Media Categories These files would be used to group the media according to industries, clients, themes, countries, etc. It can be uses to predefined this groups and it could be a sale tool when offering the Media Tenor services to new costumers.
Media category detail This screen shows the media included on each category.
